2023: If You Ban Elections In 2023, Peter Obi Will Be Disadvantaged – Nnamdi Kanu’s Ex-Secretary Warns IPOB

Amaka Ekwo, a former press secretary to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, asked the separatist group to endorse the 2023 general elections in the Southeast on Tuesday.

IPOB should push people in the Southeast to vote in the 2023 elections, according to Ekwo.

She claimed that if IPOB prevents the Southeast from voting in the general election in 2023, the Labour Party’s presidential nominee, Peter Obi, will be handicapped.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Ekwo stated that if IPOB blocks the Southeast from voting in the general election in 2023, a referendum would be tough to achieve.

She wrote: “We must be careful. Any attempt to stop the election in Biafra-land will not be good for IPOB. If IPOB puts @PeterObi at a disadvantage in the coming election, Igbo politicians will never allow #BiafraReferendum to take place. They may fight to end IPOB.”

Ekwo also noted that the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration “does not respect the rule of law.”

She added that voter apathy from the Southeast means the governing party’s chances of retaining power in 2023 are high.
