Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, has stated that 70% of Nigerian politicians have no business leading the country and should be removed from office in the 2023 general elections.
The former Anambra State Governor said this on Sunday at the Revival House of International Church (RHOGICMen )’s of Valour conference in Abuja, which had the topic “Navigating the Corridors of Power, the Church, and Politics.”
Obi compared the country’s politics to a case of lunatics taking over the asylum, claiming that the system has to be altered.

Some politicians in the halls of power, according to Obi, have no reason to be there.
He said: “We can’t allow this gangsterism to continue, Nigerians should take back their country. 70 percent of those who are in politics today should not have any reason to be there.
“I have said it, politics in Nigeria is a case where lunatics have taken over the asylum.”
