Godsday Orubebe, a former minister for Niger Delta affairs, met with Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, on Thursday in Port-Harcourt.
This occurs a few days after the former minister submitted his letter of resignation to Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman, at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
In Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, the former minister claimed to have informed the ward chairman of his departure from the party.

On Wednesday, Wike and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, met behind closed doors.
Bala Mohammed, Dave Umahi’s deputy in Ebonyi State, also visited the governor of Rivers in a “warm and brotherly” manner.
