JUST IN: President Buhari To Swear In Justice Ariwoola As CJN Today

President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to appoint Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the next Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) today, barring any last-minute changes to the schedule.

This comes after Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad’s resignation due to health issues.

The senior Supreme Court justice at the moment is Justice Ariwoola.

Sources within the president predict that he will take the oath of office at 2 p.m. today.

Justice Ariwoola, who was a Justice of the Court of Appeal before being promoted to the Supreme Court bench, was born on August 22, 1958.
