Sani Shehu, the party’s chairman in Bauchi, has been suspended by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
At a news conference on Wednesday, Babayo Liman, the North East Zonal Secretary, made the declaration.
Shehu was penalized, according to Liman, for his haughtiness, disrespect for the NNPP’s leadership, and lack of dedication to its objectives.
The scribe claimed that after looking into the accusations made against the acting chairman, a question was sent to him.

“He refused to collect the query and we had no other option than to suspend him from office to move the party forward,” Liman explained.
In his response, Shehu stated that he was not aware of the development.
“I am not aware and I have nothing to do with the said suspension.
“I remain the acting chairman of the party in Bauchi state”, NAN quoted him saying.
