Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has set today, Thursday, as the day he will officially introduce Senator Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, as his running mate.
This was announced in a statement on Wednesday night by Bayo Onanuga, the spokeswoman for the Bola Tinubu Campaign Organization, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
At the APC secretariat in Abuja, the former governor of Borno will be formally introduced as the party’s running mate at 1 pm.

Recall that Tinubu’s selection of Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the general election of 2023, which means that the APC will be fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket, has sparked a great deal of disapproval from worried Nigerians, religious leaders, opposition parties, and the Christian Association of Nigeria.
Despite the condemnation, Tinubu’s camp has insisted the former Lagos State Governor would not be pressured into abandoning Shettima as his vice presidential candidate.
