Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that he was not aware of any strategy to court Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State.
In an interview with Arise News on Sunday, Adamu discussed how the three APC governors that visited Wike in Port Harcourt a week ago made an impression on him.
Recall that the meeting with Wike was organized by the governors of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, and Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the APC Governors met with Wike and persuaded him to join the ruling party by using the crises engulfing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on the matter, Adamu said he was not informed about the visit to Wike or the outcome of the meeting.
“In as much as I read the story in the national dailies, the governors you are talking about did not discuss the mission with me nor have they discussed the outcome of the mission with me. I, therefore, cannot comment on it,” he said.
