It was Joseph Epstein who said “We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents or the country of our birth. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live”. The story of Chief Chika Emenike is the story of determination and tenacity. It is the testimony that one can choose the life that he wants to live no matter the condition of his birth, or the circumstances surrounding his environment. The young Chika Emenike who couldn’t go to University as a result of funds delved into an apprenticeship under his master and relative, Chief AC Nwosu. He was settled after seven years of meticulous service that was colored with honesty and integrity. It was the same honesty and integrity that became the bedrock of his various successes today. From establishing his own Auto spare parts company known as Kotec industrial company Ltd which later became a household name in the motorcycle and spare parts division in the billion-dollar auto spare parts market in Nnewi, Kotec transformed into Kotec Group of Companies and ventured into the Food sector of the economy. First, he established Events Table water which has become one of the leading table water brands in Southeast Nigeria. Not tired of the Success of Kotec Industrial Company Ltd and Event Table Water, Chika Emenike established Tummy Tummy Foods Ltd which are the manufacturers of the Tummy Tummy brand of Noodles.
