2023: Peter Obi, LP Leaders Meet Afenifere Leader, Ayo Adebanjo

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), met with Ayo Adebanjo, the head of the Yoruba sociopolitical group Afenifere, on Tuesday.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Obi has been meeting with notable individuals to discuss his desire to run for president in the 2023 elections.

On Tuesday, the LP flag bearer met with Adebanjo and representatives from the South and Middle Belt Leadership Forum.

Obi announced via a tweet that he was joined by party supporters and other interested parties.

He wrote: “Presently visiting Pa Ayo Adebanjo and members of the South and Middle Belt Leadership Forum. The National leaders of the Labour Party and other stakeholders are here too. -PO”

The former governor of Anambra State recently paid His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse, the Olu of Warri, a visit.

Recall that Obi had challenged other party presidential candidates to provide their own case if they disagreed with his data about Nigeria.

While he and the national leadership of his party were receiving Valentine Ozigbo, the former governor issued the challenge.

Business tycoon Ozigbo ran as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Anambra in 2021.

The former governor of Anambra State charged that other presidential contenders had attacked his arguments without offering a counterargument.

Obi argued that data and information are important during political campaigns and in governance.
