Chike And Others Join AU Bingwa Initiative

Chike, a singer, and Pencil, a comedian, have joined the African Union’s effort to attain 70% COVID-19 vaccination coverage across Africa by 2023.

The AU COVID-19 Vaccination Bingwa Initiative campaign is a collaboration between TRACE Television, Mastercard, and GIZ.

On why he decided to be part of the initiative, Chike said, “It is always better to be safe than sorry. It is less expensive to get the vaccine, which is free, than to seek treatment, which is costly. As global COVID-19 restrictions have been loosened, there is a greater need for innovation to keep COVID-19 vaccinations on the agenda. I want everyone out there to take the vaccine because I don’t want to experience another lockdown.”
