LATEST: Anambra Lawmaker, Nnamdi Okafor Dies In South Africa

The legislator representing Awka South State Constituency 1 in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nnamdi Okafor is reportedly dead.

According to report, Okafor, the majority leader of the state assembly, is alleged to have passed away on Tuesday night in South Africa, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

According to reports, the legislator died after collapsing early on Wednesday in a hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa. His death was later verified.

It was reported that the deceased legislators went on a legislative retreat with other state lawmakers.

Okafor, also known as Akajiugo Awka, is a lawmaker serving his second term. On the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s platform, he won a seat in the House of Assembly in 2015. (APGA).
