2023: Tinubu Will Transform Nigeria As He Did In Lagos – Ex-IGP, Okiro

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, would revolutionize Nigeria as he did in Lagos State, according to former Inspector-General of Police Mike Okiro.

If elected, Tinubu, according to Okiro, will carry on his legacy of progress and make sure that every region of the nation benefits from democracy.

This was said by him on Friday in Abuja at the inauguration of the organizing committee for the “Defect Together Movement for Tinubu-Shettima 2023” support group.

Okiro noted that when Tinubu became governor of Lagos in 1999, he handled and resolved the issue of criminality, describing Tinubu as a man with vision and the ability to fix Nigeria.

The former Police boss revealed how Tinubu made a special request on security to the then IG to bring him back to Lagos to help solve the security challenges in the state.

He said: “Robbery, killings, OPC…everything was in shambles and people were running away from Lagos.

“That was how I found myself back in Lagos, so I worked along with him to be able to keep Lagos calm.

“I left Lagos in glory to the extent that I was promoted from Commissioner of Police to DIG, all glory goes to Asiwaju.
