Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has urged PDP members to avoid becoming involved in the present dispute between Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the PDP is currently in turmoil as a result of the debate between Atiku and Wike, the former Vice President’s opponent in the party’s primary for president.
At a stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday, Mohammed discussed the party’s crisis and gave all of the party’s candidates in the state advice to respect Atiku and the PDP’s National Executive Committee (NEC).

The governor stressed that the PDP candidates in the state must steer clear of the current controversy in the PDP at the national level in order not to be consumed with it.
He said, “I don’t want any of us to get involved in the controversy at the national level. It is above us. Leave it to me to handle it as your leader the way l am handling it as your leader. Certainly, we cannot afford it because it will have disparaging consequences on us”.
