The current Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, Liz Truss, has been named as the future Prime Minister of the United Kingdom by the Conservative Party leadership.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, a Conservative returning officer declared Liz the winner after she received 81,326 votes, while Rishi Sunak, her major rival, received 60,399 votes.
Truss gave a brief victory speech at the announcement in a conference center in the heart of London, calling it a “honor” to win after “one of the longest job interviews.”

The Conservative Party reports that after all candidates had responded to more than 600 questions, the polls closed on Friday afternoon.
On May 12, 1980, Rishi Sunak, whose grandparents were immigrants from Punjab, northwest India, was born in Southampton to Yashvir and Usha Sunak in East Africa.
Following a series of votes, the three candidates were the former Chief Minister of Finance, Sunak (42) and Truss.
Truss previously spent nearly 10 years as a commercial manager and economics director in the energy and telecommunications industry, while Sunak co-founded a sizable investment firm that dealt with businesses from Silicon Valley to Bangalore.
