LATEST: Journalist Reveals Intention To Donate Kidney To Ekweremadu’s Daughter

John Femi Adi, a Kaduna-based journalist and recent secretary of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, has declared his intention to give a kidney to Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s ill daughter.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Ekweremadu’s daughter recently pleaded with the public to help donate a kidney to replace her damaged one.

She disclosed that she had a rare kidney illness in a statement on her Instagram page.

Adi declared his readiness to donate a kidney on his verified Facebook profile.

He wrote; “I, Comrade John Femi Adi, a Kaduna-based Journalist and farmer hereby announce my ‘agape’ decision to donate one of my kidneys to Senator Ekweremadu’s beautiful daughter.

“I am doing this on God’s order in the Holy Bible to Love our neighbours as ourselves.

Ekweremadu and Beatrice were detained on June 23 and were placed on custody in a prison in the UK due to suspicions that they had planned to obtain a David Nwamini’s organ for their sick daughter Sonia.

They are accused of conspiring to set up or aid the flight of another person with the intention of exploitation, specifically organ harvesting.

Ekweremadu, however, claimed that the child had volunteered to donate his kidney to his sick daughter.
