Ummita Buhari’s Murder: Chinese Community Backs Prosecution Of Geng Quanrong

The murder of Ummukulsum Buhari in Kano has prompted a response from the Chinese Business Community in Nigeria (CBCAN).

The woman, also known as Ummita, was allegedly killed Friday night by Geng Quanrong, a Chinese citizen.

The gruesome crime was denounced in a statement made on Monday by CBCAN Head Mike Zhang.

According to Zhang, the criminal act should be given to the appropriate security agencies to handle appropriately.

The Chinese people, he said, are grateful for Kano’s hospitality thus far and will continue to uphold the law and support the state’s growth.

The message also expressed sympathy to the relatives of the deceased, a Kampala University graduate in agriculture science.

Ummita, 23, was a National Youth Service Corps volunteer (NYSC).
