A senior citizen was photographed praying for the Labour Party’s (LP) Peter Obi, who is running for president, on Wednesday as political campaigns for the 2023 general elections got underway. The gathering took place in Jos, Plateau State.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Doyin Okupe, the director general of the Obi-Datti Campaign organization, revealed in a tweet on Wednesday that the LP candidate and his running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed, would attend the rally in Jos even though the party has not yet formally started its campaigning.

”Today in Jos, HE Peter Obi & his running mate Datti-Ahmed, will honour an invitation from the Middle Belt forum to attend a solidarity rally. We are yet to commence our own campaigns. To comfort our students, We urge the FG to quickly resolve the lingering ASSU Crisis,” the tweet read.
At the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau state, where the LP flag bearer was being welcomed, one of the attendees was an old woman who was knelt among other supporters and praying for Peter Obi.
