According to reports, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in power, gave specific reasons for delaying the formation of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) indefinitely.
The party, which had originally intended for its campaigns to begin today, announced through Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State and Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, that the decision to expand the list to include more stakeholders had caused the campaign launch to be postponed indefinitely.
According to information obtained, the postponement was necessary because of the APC’s deepening divisions as a result of the formation of Bola Tinubu’s campaign committee.

Additionally, it was revealed by party insiders that the ruling party is still fermenting anger over the selection of Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Some APC stakeholders who were appointed to the campaign council have chosen to remain mute and abstain as a result of the decision to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket, while others have protested that they were not consulted.
According to the source, several governors and party leaders believe they were left off of the campaign list, while others are still upset about the party’s choice to not nominate a northern Christian for vice president.
According to a source, a number of APC governors, including Governors Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers and Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of Kwara State, have accused the party’s presidential candidate of undervaluing them and failing to represent their interests. They charged Tinubu with shunning their proposed choices and substituting others from their states without their consent.

The secretary to the government is a Christian and we do not win with votes from the North East, so, there is no excuse in the world because it is the North West that has the votes. So, you cannot say that he is going to bring all the votes from the north. The only thing that you can say is because he is a Muslim. A Muslim from the South is doing what a Muslim from the North would not do. A muslim from the north would not choose another Muslim from the South. We have spoken but they are not listening.
“We went through the trouble of doing restructuring and packaged it in a way that was so well received. Maybe they held their meetings and afterwards, the South West started saying something different because they want to be president. What kind of thing is that? I am very depressed and mortified and I don’t think that there is a better way to describe how I am feeling. We have decided to step aside and watch from the sidelines. We have totally lost it in this country. If we haven’t lost it, how can an Accountant General steal over N108 billion? That is to show you how lose we are.”

According to the insider, the ruling APC has given its official blessing to corruption and will soon discover that many of its members haven’t even read the party’s platform.
The National Working Committee (NWC), under the direction of Abdullahi Adamu, is scheduled to meet today to discuss how to settle the controversial problems.
