The former British monarch Queen Elizabeth II’s cause of death has been made public by the National Records of Scotland.

The monarch was said to have passed away from old age in the death certificate that was released on Thursday.

Recall that earlier this month, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral in the company of family members at the age of 96.

According to the papers, the late monarch passed away on September 8 at 3:10 p.m. at Balmoral Castle in Ballater.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning queen in British history. She was born on April 21, 1926, during the reign of her paternal grandpa King George V.

She succeeded her father, King George VI, as monarch after his passing in 1952 while touring Australia and New Zealand with her late husband, Prince Philip. She was King George VI’s eldest daughter.

The following year, she was crowned, and after 70 years on the throne, she was crowned at the age of 27.

From Sir Winston Churchill, the leader of the Second World War, through Liz Truss, Queen Elizabeth II served as prime minister for 15 years.
