Ex-Footballer Arrested By NDLEA For Importing Cocaine Into Nigeria

An ex-football player was detained by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for bringing cocaine into Nigeria.

The NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, announced this on Sunday via his Twitter account.

Although Babafemi withheld the former footballer’s name, she did say that he had been apprehended at the Lagos International Airport and that she would soon provide further information.

According to the footage that the NDLEA official released, the cocaine was expertly covered with metal.

Sharing the video of how the drugs were concealed, he wrote: “Video shows how an ex-footballer imported cocaine into Nigeria. Just imagine the time and energy it takes to conceal this when you know there’s no guarantee ⁦

@ndlea_nigeria ⁩ officers won’t unravel you. Another one busted at Lagos airport. Details coming shortly.”

An other video posted on the NDLEA account showed that its agents at the Lagos airport found cocaine secreted in the ex-bag footballer’s handles and black cocaine in the bags’ phony bottoms from another Brazilian returnee.
