Without the backing of governors, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, may lose the 2023 election, according to Adamu Abdullahi, the party’s national chairman.

The National Working Committee (NWC), members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), and the leadership of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) met on Wednesday to discuss the contentious campaign council list, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Speaking to journalists, Abdullahi Adamu issued a warning, urging the APC leadership to decide what was right and carry it out as long as it complied with INEC’s regulations.

Adamu reiterated in his opening remarks the importance of the governors helping the party win the 2023 presidential election.

The Director-General of the Tinubu Campaign Council, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Umar Ganduje of Kano, Abubarkar Badaru of Jigawa, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Sani Bello of Niger, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and the Deputy Governor of Borno State are all listed as attendees

In addition, Hadiza Bala, Lalong’s chief of staff, Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of the state of Edo, James Faleke, the PCC secretary, and all of the NWC’s members were there.
