Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has urged his peers in other parties to pause their campaigns in remembrance of the flood victims who were affected by the nation’s flooding.

During a visit to Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom at his private residence in Abuja to express his condolences over the flood calamity in his territory, Obi made the appeal.

He urged others to join him in helping the victims of the country’s floods, including Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

If the former governor of Anambra is elected president of Nigeria in 2023, he has pledged to address the nation’s problems.

Ortom urged Nigerians to enter the general elections in 2023 with the intention of choosing the best presidential candidate out of the field of contenders.

In order to restore optimism, prosperity, and progress, Ortom claims that Nigeria needs a hands-on, detribalized leader.
