Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has accused the previous administration of Goodluck Jonathan of stealing oil from Nigeria.

The current finding of oil theft in the nation, according to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, began under Jonathan’s administration.

This assertion was made by Keyamo during a Channels TV interview on Friday night.

The minister responded that the pipeline utilized for the criminal crime was built by Jonathan’s administration when pressed to explain why crude oil was taken during the APC administration.

Keyamo said, “This recent discovery of the pipe that they laid to steal crude oil, they said it was established 9 years ago and we are just out of astuteness and activeness we just discovered that pipeline now. So, who was in government nine years ago when that pipeline was established?”

Recently, it was discovered that pipeline vandalism and other illegal operations involving crude oil were responsible for the annual theft of around 73 million barrels of oil.

Investigations showed that oil thieves and vandals cost the nation $7.3 billion annually.
