The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on Friday that it had revoked its restriction on Nigerians receiving visas.

The Dubai government informed its trading partners, including travel agencies, in a notice that all applications for the city are currently being turned down.

The notice further stated that the rejects will be delivered in batches. The Dubai authorities stated that the denials “are widespread for Nigerians and permits are currently on hold.”

The message to the Nigerian travel agents further stated, “Kindly urge your clients to resubmit C2=A0 applications when the situation is settled between both administrations.”

The severe action taken by the UAE was not justified.

According to reports, the rejections represent the UAE Immigration officials’ most recent choice about their interactions with Nigerians.

Remember that the UAE had imposed some tough requirements for Nigerians who wanted to travel to Dubai in August?

Only Nigerians were subject to the requirements listed by the UAE on its page for applying for visas, and anyone who want to enter the nation were required to meet them before being issued a visa.
