Political parties have been urged to pause their campaigns in honor of flood victims across the nation by Olabode George, a PDP chieftain.

The former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP urged his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and other political parties to halt their presidential campaigns in order to follow the lead of the Labour Party and its nominee, Peter Obi.

The PDP leader reportedly made the call while speaking in an interview with Sunday Politics on Channels TV on Sunday, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

George urged the presidential contenders to visit the states affected by the flooding calamity to express their concern for the lives lost.

He said: “If you are campaigning to win the hearts of the Nigerian people, anything that will affect their state of mind should be your major concern.”
