World Dirtiest Man Dies At 94 After Bathing For The First Time

Amou Haji, an Iranian exile known as the “dirtiest man in the world,” passed away last month at the age of 94 after being convinced to take a bath.

Haji passed away on Sunday in the village of Dejgah in the southern province of Fars, according to a report in the Iranian news agency.

According to information acquired by Anaedoonline.ng, Haji, a single man, hasn’t taken a bath in more than 50 years.

Local authorities reportedly said that Haji had refrained from taking a shower because she was worried about “becoming sick,” as mentioned in numerous stories.

Haji was said to be covered in soot and to have lived in a cinder-block shanty for more than 60 years without taking a bath or using soap.

The villagers also disclosed that his strange existence and inability to take a bath were caused by “emotional failures in his adolescence.”

According to a 2014 Tehran Times article, “Haji would satisfy his hunger by eating roadkill. Additionally, he smoked a pipe made out of animal waste and held the view that taking a bath and keeping himself clean would make him sick.

However, the nearby villagers managed to convince him last month to take a bath for the first time in more than 50 years, according to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng.

In 2013, a brief documentary about his life called “The Strange Life of Amou Haji” was also produced.

After Haji’s passing, Kailash Singh ‘Kalau, an Indian man who also refuses to take a bath or wash his teeth for more than 30 years because he wants to please God to give him a son, may hold the unofficial record for not bathing for a significant portion of his life.

Singh ‘Kalau, who is said to reside in Varanasi, claims to have seven daughters and refuses to take a bath because he longs for a son from God.
