2023: Why We Visited Bola Tinubu – Afenifere Reveals

According to the Yoruba sociopolitical organization Afenifere, the presidency is not their exclusive right.

This was said by Afenifere last week in response to criticism that it had backed Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) over Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with Arise TV, Sola Ebiseni, the secretary-general of Afenifere, stated that the organization’s choice to back Obi was motivated by both morality and the needs of the Nigerian State.

He clarified that they desire a nation where everyone feels a feeling of belonging and that Nigeria comes first.
