Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has disavowed a campaign manifesto that has been spreading on social media and urged his followers to ignore it.

What was being presented as the LP campaign manifesto, according to Obi’s disclaimer posted on his Twitter profile on Monday, was actually a draft that was still being reviewed.

When the draft of the campaign platform is complete and authorized, the LP candidate indicated he will personally disclose it.

“We have not formally released our Manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space. Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated,” the tweet read.

The former governor of Anambra’s strategy to manage Nigeria under seven principles was recorded in the draft manifesto that was released under the title “Our Pact With Nigeria.”

If elected president of Nigeria, Obi pledged to focus on security, production, restructuring, the Industrial Revolution, physical infrastructure, human capital development, and a strong foreign policy.
