How I Was Influenced By Bob Marley – Wizkid

Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, said that the late, great artist Bob Marley gave him the will to “live forever.”

The Essence singer recently spoke with Guardian UK about his next album, “More Love, Less Ego.”

He claimed that he wanted to control his ego and use music to live eternally in the next phase of his life.

Speaking on his aims, Wizkid said he wanted “to live for ever”.
“Not physically, but for whatever I create to live for ever,” he explained.

Wizkid, who recently saw the Bob Marley musical themed ‘Get Up, Stand Up!’ noted that watching the play reaffirmed what he wanted for his life.

He said, “I was like, ‘Yo, we’re watching a Bob Marley play and this guy died decades ago.’

“I didn’t even know that he died at 36. He did so much at a young age. It just reaffirms what I do; I have to keep taking this to the highest heights.

“Because I know one day they’re definitely going to create a play about me.”

Wizkid’s ‘More Love Less Ego’ will be released on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Earlier today (Tuesday), the singer revealed the 13-song tracklist which featured Ayra Starr, Naira Marley, Skepta, amongst others.
