On Tuesday, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), joined party members at the Jos municipal stadium in endorsing the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

The President stated at the gathering that no election winner will be denied his mandate in 2023.

During a visit to the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, the President reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every vote was tallied, while pushing party members to march to deliver the APC candidates now that the party has decided.

Tinubu To Campaign In Imo Amid IPOB Stay At Home

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari said, “No election winner will be denied his mandate, irrespective of the party to which they belonged,” apparently in response to the Campaign Director-General, Governor Simon Lalong, who announced the intention to recreate the 1993 Moshood Abiola’s historic victory in 2023, in a campaign that took off in the same city 3o years ago. That election victory was annulled by the military.

Buhari said the country needs a guy like Tinubu as he handed over the APC flag to the candidate, encouraging party supporters to campaign on issues and the talents of the candidate and his running mate, Shettima.

The President reaffirmed his previous vows that he will be at the forefront of the campaign because he believes in the party.

The President stated that only the APC could steer Nigeria to its historic mission, adding that the goal would be realized by working together with the party’s leadership, the campaign council, and its thronging followers.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s National Chairman, joined other party leaders, including Tinubu, in urging Nigerians to vote for the party.
