The internal crisis of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) took a new turn on Monday when a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja remanded the party’s factional head, Edozie Njoku, in prison for suspected fraud.
Njoku was sentenced to prison alongside Chukwuemeka Nwoga for allegedly forging a Supreme Court judgment.
Remember that Njoku and Nwoga were charged by police of faking a Supreme Court document that reinstalled them as APGA’s national chairman and national youth leader in place of Victor Oye.

Justice Mohammed Madugu, who presided over the case, issued a bench warrant against Njoku and Nwoga last week for failing to appear in court.
Panam Ntui, the defense’s counsel, argued their bail motion shortly after they pled not guilty to a 14-count charge filed against them in the name of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.
At the resumption of the hearing on Monday, the court vacated the bench warrant and sustained the prosecution counsel’s opposition to the defence lawyer’s bail motion on the topic.
In his judgement, Justice Mohammed Magudu ordered that Njoku and Nwoga be remanded in the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State until the outcome of their bail plea on November 30.
