2023 Presidency: God Will Favour Nigeria – CAN

The Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed faith that God will do something big in Nigeria.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, the state CAN chairman, urged Christians across the country to pray fervently, especially during next year’s elections, for God’s chosen leaders to arise to steer the country’s affairs in the Lord’s way.

On Sunday, he said this following the association’s Christmas carol.

“Nigerians have suffered a lot, and we believed the Almighty father, in His infinite mercy will remember the country as He favoured Mary to be the mother of Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to continue seeking the Almighty’s face in matters concerning the country and to seek God’s intervention so that the country’s lost glory can be restored and it can take its place in the community of nations.

According to Rev. Hayab, “The God we serve is a merciful God that showered His mercy not because of our righteousness but because He is merciful, He will by faith shower His mercy upon the country and give us God fearing President and other leaders that will work for the full restoration of the land in peace, unity and development.”

He believes that favor will come to Nigeria, particularly in the 2023 elections, but urged Nigerians to pray for God’s mercy on the country so that citizens can once again live in peace and harmony, claiming that this is the only way Nigerians can adequately showcase their potential to the rest of the world.
