Peter Obi Vows To End ASUU, Doctors’ Strikes As He Holds Mega Rally In Imo

If elected in 2023, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running partner, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, promised to cease strikes by medical practitioners and members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Obi told a crowd of supporters at a huge event in Owerri, Imo State’s capital, that with Baba-Ahmed as his running mate, they will ensure that power is returned to the people, particularly youths and women.
He also stated that job creation, agricultural investment, and export prioritization will be high on their agenda.

The ASUU strike, decay in the health sector, and corruption will be issues of the past for the LP presidential candidate.

This is Obi’s first major campaign rally in Imo, and as the 2023 elections approach, the party in the state has stated that more programs will be launched to court the public.
