Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State, has stated why he has yet to participate in the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign (APC).

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Gov Bello, an APC presidential hopeful, took part in the party’s primary poll, which was won by Bola Tinubu.

Despite his designation as the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Youth Coordinator, Tinubu has not been open since the launch of his presidential campaign.

However, Bello stated that he had been performing some clandestine work for Tinubu, which prevented him from joining the campaign train.

On Thursday, he met with Seyi Tinubu at his office in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Seyi had led the PCC National Youth Mobilisation Directorate to Lokoja’s Lord Lugard House to rally support for his father.

In his statements, the governor emphasized that people may believe he has been quiet for some time now, but he is actually working underground for the APC candidate.

“I am with Asiwaju (Tinubu). I am doing some underground work for the success of Asiwaju as President and for the APC, that is why I have not been following the campaign train up and down. I may not be following Asiwaju up and down, but what I’m doing is far above what the eye can see.
