President Muhammadu Buhari has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders to unify in order to avert defeat in 2023.

Buhari stated that APC leaders must work together to win victory in 2023.

He delivered the charge in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, according to a statement released yesterday by his spokeswoman, Garba Shehu.

Dikko Radda, the APC governorship candidate in Katsina State, and his running mate, Faruk Jobe, were met at the president’s residence.

However, in the statement titled “To succeed at elections, President Buhari asks APC to unify its ranks,” Buhari said party leaders need “to sit together to avoid divisions and ensure unity in order to avoid defeat at the elections.”

In 2023, the president promised free and fair elections in Nigeria.

He emphasized that the polls in Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun were proof of his determination to ensure free and fair elections.

Buhari expressed his gratitude for the visit and wished the party success in the elections.
