Fire destroyed some shops at the Ogbo Osisi Timber Market Bridgehead in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but it is believed to have started late Saturday evening.
The Anambra State fire chief, Martin Agbili, confirmed the event in a statement, saying that members from the state fire service had been rushed to the fire scene.

“I have deployed our firefighters to the fire scene. They are there fighting the fire,” Agbili said.
