We’ve Not Endorsed Tinubu, Atiku Or Any Presidential Candidate –Herders Union, Miyetti Allah

Before the general elections in 2023, the well-known herders’ organization Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) claims it has not endorsed any candidates.

This information was disclosed by the organization’s president, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, during a Saturday press conference in Abuja. Before the elections in 2023, according to Ngelzarma, MACBAN will declare its favored presidential candidate.

According to Ngelzarma, the group has already met with and made its seven-point agenda and the demands of pastoralists known to Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidates for the All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party, and New Nigeria People’s Party, respectively.

He said, “My administration would operate under the CORE agenda. CORE means Consultation, Orientation, Reintegration and Empowerment. As part of the consultation, I met some presidential candidates.

“I have presented our demands to Bola Tinubu (APC) at the town hall meeting in Minna, Niger State.

“I have met Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Kwankwaso (NNPP) personally and discussed with them.

“It’s only Peter Obi of Labour Party I have not met, I hope to meet him soon, but our demands have been submitted.

“Let me make it clear: we have not endorsed any candidate. We will do so in February, before the election.

“This would be after we’ve analysed their plans and got their responses to our requests,” he added.

Prior to the 2019 general elections, MACBAN supported President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018.
