Money Laundering: Okupe Convicted For ‘Crime’ Committed Working For PDP

Doyin Okupe, the Director-General of the Peter Obi presidential campaign council, is allegedly under investigation for a crime he committed while working for a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, according to Sam Amadi, a former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

Recall that Okupe was given a two-year prison term for violating the money laundering act on Monday by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

As many voiced different opinions on the case on social media, notably Twitter, soon after the ruling, Okupe became a trending topic.

Sam, an Arise TV columnist, responded by claiming that the Labour Party campaign director general was trending on Twitter due to crimes he committed while supporting a presidential candidate from the main opposition party, and that the PDP members spreading the news were only making fun of themselves.

Doyin Okupe is trending for a “crime” he allegedly committed while working for a PDP presidential campaign, and PDP members are happily spreading the word, according to a tweet on his Twitter account.

“Hmm irony. You are actually mocking yourself. You are endorsing Buhari’s attack against you after the 2015 election for being a corrupt party”.
