Emefiele neglected to show up before the House on Tuesday for the second time.

The MPs delayed his presence for Thursday in the face of protests and criticism, insisting on the suspension of the cash withdrawal restrictions set by the national bank.

Emefiele had been called before the House to discuss the CBN’s most recent policy, which among other things put restrictions on cash withdrawals from Deposit Money Banks and other financial institutions.

During Wednesday’s plenary, Gbajabiamila read Amadu’s letter to the audience, and the lawmakers decided to accept Emefiele’s representation.
