Anambra: Unknown Gunmen Murder Obosi Community Leader, Ike Okolo

According to reports, Hon. Ike Okolo, the president-general of the Obosi Community in Anambra State’s Idemili North Local Government Area, was fatally murdered.

A day after the new year, at around 8 p.m., unknown assailants shot and killed Okolo in a gas station in the neighborhood, according to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng.

The community leader was shot while sitting in a pool of his own blood behind the wheel of the SUV, according to a video that has been making the rounds on the internet.

The President-General is claimed to have opposed this development ever since taking office because Obosi is one town that is well renowned for its cult conflicts.

At the time this report was submitted, it was unclear who had killed him.

DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the State police command, has not yet returned a message.
