On Sunday, Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, CGCC, said that anyone engaging in dishonest politics in Nigeria would perish.
He also asked Nigerians to vote in the general election while keeping in mind that the nation will enter a new chapter.
During the general elections, he also advised Nigerians to stay away from vote buying and political merchants.

However, he voiced concern that Nigeria’s presidential election option may be at a crossroads as a result of the general elections.
The cleric made these remarks during a state of the country broadcast at the CGCC Auditorium, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, with the topic “Bridging the gap between politics and governance.”
Whatever decision Nigerians pick at the polls, according to Bakare, the nation will still remain fragile.
“In 2023, we must avoid political political merchants and vote buyers.
“Everyone practicing bad politics in Nigeria, your time is up.
“We cannot ignore the God factor and if you think everything is closed, there will be a new chapter,” he added.
