The Nigerian National Domestic Card Scheme, Afrigo, has been launched by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, indicated this morning that transaction costs on all cards will now be paid in naira, except for overseas transactions.
According to him, Afrigo would be less expensive and a source of national pride, with the potential to increase financial inclusion.
