On Tuesday, a bus carrying refreshments intended for distribution to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State was ambushed by several youths.
According to reports, the youngsters who attacked the vehicle were among those waiting to greet the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
The teenagers had gathered around the bus, pleading for the food, which were stored in cartons in a 608 bus.
The party officials were about to share the goodies when a large crowd arrived, forcing them to close the bus door while the driver sped away.
Desperate teens ran down the bus, broke down the back door, and stole as many snacks as they could.
One of the teenagers who talked to the Daily Post on the condition of anonymity said he had obtained up to four boxes of the food.
He expressed his hope that the APC presidential candidate’s bullion van had been hit.
“I wish it was Tinubu’s bullion van that opened like that for us to help ourselves,” he remarked.
