Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the immediate previous Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has challenged Governor Nyesom Wike to pick his presidential candidate by the end of January, as he promised.
Wike, according to the APC chief, “lacks boldness, tact, reason, and finesse.”
Peterside, in a statement, yesterday, in Port Harcourt, claimed that “Wike avoids difficult dialogues, lacks vision and prioritizes personal interest over people’s interest. If Wike is a man, he should tell the people which presidential candidate he supports. He promised his supporters that he would announce his candidacy in January, but he lacks the nerve to do so,” Dakuku added.
He described the governor as a multidimensional failure in governance, whose major accomplishment is investment in media to create false impression to hide his ineptitude in good governance delivery, nepotism and crude politics.

The APC chief further condemned attacks on campaign grounds of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Opobo/Nkoro Council of the state.
The Guardian gathered that some suspected political thugs had invaded APC Rally in the area, wreaking havoc.
