Murja Kunya, a creator of TikTok skits, has been ordered to be detained in a jail by a Shariah court in Kano’s Filin Hockey neighbourhood.
The creator of the skit was arraigned on Thursday for counts that include character assassination, obscenity, public annoyance, and disturbance of public peace.
According to Daily Post, the defamation allegation was added to the charges when two additional TikTokers, Aisha Najamu and Idris Maiwushirya, complained that Murja had slandered their reputations.
She entered a not guilty plea after the prosecuting attorney, Lamido Sorondinki, read the accused all of the counts.
