Elections Won’t Be Hampered By Fuel Or Naira Scarcity – INEC Chairman

The February 25 and March 11 elections will go forward, according to Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, despite the national shortage of Naira notes and the paucity of fuel.

Soon after briefing the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), and other Federal Executive Council members at the State House in Abuja, Yakubu disclosed this to State House Correspondents.
According to him, the commission has resolved the two biggest potential hindrances to its operations: a lack of fuel and a shortage of naira notes.
Rest certain that the presidential and national assembly elections will take place on February 25, and the governorship and state houses of assembly elections will be held on March 11.
