2023: Peter Obi Wins Tinubu, Atiku In A Fresh Bloomberg Poll Shows

According to a recent Bloomberg survey, with less than two weeks till the election, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, is the top choice to become the nation’s next president.

Premise Data Corporation’s poll results for Bloomberg News were revealed on Friday.

According to the poll, two-thirds of respondents want to vote for Obi in an election that will also feature front-runners Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Premise, based in San Francisco, claimed it polled 2,384 Nigerians from January 26 to February 4 using a smartphone app, with contributions chosen from quotas based on age, gender, and geography across the country’s six geopolitical zones.

Bloomberg also stated that the results were weighted against the initial quotas to ensure national representation.

According to the poll results, Obi received 66% of the votes cast, Tinubu received 18%, and Atiku received 10%.

Meanwhile, among undecided votes, Obi received 47%, Tinubu received 27%, and Atiku received 9%.

“Of the 93% of participants who said they’ve decided how to vote, 66% named Obi as their preferred choice,” Bloomberg said.

Remember that Obi received a somewhat higher 72% of decided respondents in an earlier Premise poll issued by Bloomberg in September, just as the actual election campaign began.
