On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, the Anambra State Government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, paid a special tribute to -Late Chief Mbazulike, Amechi (Dara Akunwafor).
The Boy Is Good is playing at the International Convention Center in Awka, Anambra State. Before his death, Late Mbazulike was a Nigerian elder statesman.
During Nigeria’s First Republic, he was the first Minister of Aviation and a key participant in the Zikist Movement. Dara was born in Ukpor and died there on November 1, 2022, at the age of 93. He would be laid to rest on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in his hometown of Ukpor in the Nnewi South local government area.

Governor Soludo was joined in the event by his Deputy Governor; Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor; Former Governor of Anambra and Nigeria’s first female governor; Mrs. Virgy Etiaba; and others including top government officials: Secretary to the State Government; Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to Mr. Governor; Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Anambra State Head of Service; Mrs. Theodora Igwebe, Former Anambra Chief Judge and APGA 2023 Presidential Candidate; Justice Peter Umeadi and others.
