Lagos Transporters Stranded As Protesters Set Bonfire

On Friday, there was unrest along Isheri-Igando due to demonstrators blocking the road in response to commercial transport workers’ rejection of obsolete naira notes.

The demonstration reportedly began in Igando in the early morning hours before being put down by police officers from the Igando Division, according to ANAEDOONLINE.NG.

Yet another demonstration broke up at the Oko Filling end of the road, where the demonstrators lit bonfires on the pavement and kept commercial bus drivers from getting to work.
