2023: Actions Tinubu Has Taken Against Buhari In The Past Listed By Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has listed the past activities of his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Bola Tinubu, against President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said he was not surprised that Tinubu disagreed with Buhari on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s currency redesign strategy (CBN).

The former Vice President argued that Tinubu’s previous and current acts demonstrated that he had no regard for President Buhari or his office.

Atiku stated that in 2018, Buhari and some Northern governors personally begged to Tinubu to let Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to run for a second term, but he refused, publicly humiliating the President.

He also said Tinubu organized the expulsion of former Edo State Governor John Oyegun and guaranteed that one of his supporters, Adams Oshiomhole, became the APC’s national chairman.

Atiku claimed that Tinubu weakened numerous governors in their states and then suspended them, including Ogun State’s Ibikunle Amosun.

The PDP candidate also questioned his APC counterpart’s mental competence to rule Nigeria, citing gaffes and slips at numerous APC campaign rallies.

Atiku added that the country was confronting huge issues and that the country needed a focused leader, not someone who relied on handlers to communicate his incomprehensible message to Nigerians.
